The church celebrated its 30th Anniversary on 03/06/09, to commemorate this

occasion and to thank God for the marvellous ways in which he lead the church from 1979 – 2009, a short programme was organised in the church. It all started with an opening prayer by Rev. Kennedy Yesudas, followed by a wonderful worship session lead by Ps. Steve and Br. Isaac. The co-singers and the musicians supported the lead singers beautifully, creating the right ambience to praise and thank God for the 30 long years. After which the little Sunday school students amazingly swayed to the rhythm of music.

A video clipping showcasing the history of the church from the year 1979 was

released as a CD by Br. Jayaseelan, and the first copy was given to Rev. I. Asir, this clipping was then played for all the people gathered. The senior pastor Rev. I. Asir and his wife Sr. Daisy were then felicitated by the Pondicherry Section Pastors with an Art Board, and by other pastors with shawls. Rev. I. Asir who obeyed God’s call in establishing ministry in Pondicherry way back in 1979 and was zealous from then on was crowned with a Maharajas Crown and Sr. Daisy who stood by her husband in all hardships was crowned with a Coronal.

The senior pastors of the Pondicherry Section were then felicitated with a memento

showcasing the history of the church and all other pastors were presented with a CD of church history. After the time of felicitation, the youth of the church beautifully enacted a play based on the story of Ten Lepers, which was again followed by short time of worship. The message was given by senior pastor, Rev. I. Asir, who encouraged the church to stand firm in faith and to pray fervently, he then concluded the programme with a word of prayer. And thus the church celebrated its 30th Anniversary wishing and praying for many more such Anniversaries to come…
